Most of the dinosaur fossils found in California come from the Hydrosaur or Duck Billed dinosaur. This gentle herbivore walked the earth during the Cretaceous period browsing and eating vegetation. At that time, what is now California was mostly covered by ocean and therefore not many dinosaur species thrived here.
Faducci artists sculpted the mother Hydrosaur taking time away from grazing for food to bounce her baby on her knee. The artists wanted to honor the deep mother/child bond that all creatures share. For a bit of whimsy the dinosaurs are wearing pink bunny slippers.
