The turtle sculpture was designed as both an environmental reminder and as a tribute to the native tribes that originally lived in this area. Iridescent Italian glass mosaic inlaid on the turtle reflects light bringing visual excitement and textural variation. The whimsical imagery elicits interaction as a climbing sculpture and musical instrument for children with special needs. The children are enchanted with this colorful, textural, musical duo.
